With over 890 species of birds to be found both inside and outside Kathmandu valley, visitors have the opportunity to spot more than 500 species in popular bird watching areas such as Godawari, Phulchowki, Nagarjun, and Taudaha. In addition to these locations, Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park, among other national parks outside Kathmandu valley, are well-known for providing encounters with a wide variety of birds. The Koshi Tappu wildlife reserve is an ideal destination for those interested in spotting both migratory and resident bird species, including Lophophorus, Eagle-owl, Dusky, Bengal floricans, fish eagles, Woodpeckers, Barn owls, Honeyguides, Osprey, Hawks, Storks, Cranes, Bulbuls, Leaf birds, Sparrows, Swifts, Gulls, Crakes, and Kingfishers.
Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, one of our company representatives will meet you and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. After breakfast today, you can choose to have a scenic 5-hour drive or a 25-minute flight to reach Chitwan. Upon arrival in Chitwan, our representative will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel, where you can refresh yourself briefly. In the evening, you can enjoy bird watching along the bank of the Rapti River, while taking in the stunning sunset view. You will spend the night at the hotel with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
After breakfast today, you will enjoy a full day of bird watching. You can choose to embark on an elephant safari or a jeep safari to view a variety of birds within the Chitwan National Park. With over 543 species of birds to be found, including Bengal Florican, Flycatchers, Bee-eaters, Stork-billed Kingfishers, Swamp Francolin, Grey-crowned Prinia, Bulbuls, Mynahs, Jungle Fowl, and Egrets, there is plenty to see. You will spend the night at the hotel with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.
After breakfast, you will spend the entire day bird watching. You can choose to embark on either an elephant or a jeep safari within the Chitwan National Park to view a wide variety of birds. After breakfast, you will either take a 9-10 hour drive or a 35-minute flight back to Kathmandu. Once there, you will enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of the city, visiting cultural and world heritage sites such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Basantapur Durbar Square, and Boudhanath Stupa. You will spend the night at the hotel with Bed & Breakfast included.
Today, our company representative will escort you to the airport for your journey back to your home country or onward destination.
